Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the nice, crispy fish and chips, often highlighting the perfectly battered fish as a standout. The homemade gravy receives consistent praise too, complementing the chips beautifully. Many find the pies, especially the meat pies, delightful, with a perfectly flaky crust that holds succulent fillings. Quick service makes it a convenient stop during busy lunch hours, and the clean premises resonate with health-conscious diners. Families appreciate the children-friendly environment, making it easy to bring kids along for a filling meal. The affordable prices are a major draw, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a hearty meal without overspending.

Most Disliked

Some patrons express frustration with the occasional sticking of chips to the paper, which can disrupt the dining experience. While the pie and chips are generally a hit, a few have noted that they would have preferred slightly larger portions. Although the shop maintains high standards of cleanliness, a few visitors have reported minor issues with the accessibility of tables during busy times, which may affect seating availability. A select few diners mention that their orders were incomplete, such as missing drinks, which can be an annoyance after a long day. These minor drawbacks haven’t stopped most from returning, but they are worth considering for a smoother experience.

Good chippy I rather liked the gravy and the atmosphere was chippyey. My one issue was that the chips stuck to the paper and it was annoying got remove. Otherwise I nice place go eat and I would go back for more

Had yet another 'ebay mission', as usual got stuck in a traffic jam, so by the time we collected our goodies I was starving. Stopped here, the premises was cleaned to a high standard, all staff wore masks, easy parking directly outside shop. I decided on the pie dinner, meat pie (Hollands), chips and gravy, have to say I ate the lot, pie was nicely cooked, chips nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, the gravy finished it off to perfection. My only one gripe is that hubby forgot the can of pop 🙈🙈. Would definitely return if in the area and would recommend.
